Edward BogusławskiEdward Bogusławski 22.09.1940 Chorzów : 24.05.2003 Katowice #experiment #contrast #voiceThe œuvre of Edward Bugusławski is full of contrasts. His youthful adventure with avant-garde techniques (aleatorism, Sonorism) and the aesthetic language of Expressionism led him to work out his own technique for the shaping of form, the so-called ‘free sound planes’ and micropolyphonically quivering sound. Gradually, however, he simplified his musical language to turn towards more Classical forms, as well as religious subject matter.
